About
Gaoithe Advisory is led by Patrick Halford, and we work with global partners to help companies, investors, cities, universities, and public institutions see more clearly where pressure is building, where resilience is real, and where structural advantage can still be created. Our work combines outside-in analysis, business model reconstruction, operating and revenue logic, technology shifts, capital dynamics, and forward-looking scenario assessment to give leadership teams a sharper read on risk, timing, and opportunity. Rather than relying on surface narratives or lagging numbers, we examine how organisations actually work, where hidden weaknesses are likely to emerge, how changing AI capability and market conditions may alter their position over the next 12 to 18 months, and where earlier action can materially improve outcomes. The result is clearer judgement for boards, executives, investors, and public leaders facing difficult strategic choices in periods of fast-moving change.
Patrick Halford has led international teams responsible for building and funding more than €500 million of R&D and commercialisation programmes across Europe, working with corporates, SMEs, startups, universities, and research institutions across AI, electronics, defence, drones and robotics, health, agritech, energy, and mobility. His background is rooted in practical execution: structured partnerships, funded roadmaps, and delivery that improves real-world performance.
He now advises Private Equity firms, LPs, VCs, banks, and corporates on the likely effect of AI on revenue resilience, pricing power, margin structure, operating leverage, headcount, productivity, credit risk, covenant headroom, and exit timing over the next 12 to 24 months. Having also experienced a PE buyout from the inside, he brings a grounded view of what stands up under operating pressure. Patrick also serves on advisory boards, guest lectures at Nordic business schools, and speaks internationally on AI, partnerships, and the future of funding. He is also the author of 6 books available on Amazon (2 on the business of AI, and 4 Nordic thrillers).
